A New edition this time around are three “Mystery Tournaments,” which are, well, a mystery, as Full Tilt hasn’t said any more about them. The non-monetary prizes remain virtually the same as last time. Those who make the final table of an event will get a limited edition FTOPS jacket. Tournament winners will get the jacket, a gold FTOPS jersey, a gold FTOPS avatar to use at the online tables, and an entry into the FTOPS Season II Tournament of Champions.

The Tournament of Champions will match the winners of events in FTOPS V through VIII against each other, with a seat at the Main Event of the 2008 WSOP on the line. This tournament will be held on May 24. Full Tilt has brought back the "Bouncebackability" Freeroll, which they introduced in FTOPS VI, to FTOPS VIII. Those who receive the label of “bubble boy” in an event will win an entry into this freeroll, where the ultimate winner will earn a seat in the next FTOPS Tournament Main Event.
